Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer: Velvet Rebel

Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer- Velvet Rebel + Collection Lip Definer in Damson 5 = the PERFECT combination lip for Autumn/Fall! I’ve been wearing this combo for like everyday now cause I just can’t get enough of how beautiful the colour is! For the past couple of days, every time I wore it to work… At least 2 people would compliment how they liked and asked me what was it. Honestly, even I, myself is deeply in love with this colour! Ok enough with that. Let’s move on to the review…

This lip lacquer is being described as "Goes on as a liquid and dries matte, touch proof and long wearing intense colour".
Well, I have to admit all of that is TRUE!! The colour of the lip lacquer is a berry-red wine that is just perfect for the Autumn look.  With only £3, this is such a BARGAIN!!! It is highly pigmentated and will dry matte within a minute. I don’t know whether it is just me, but the matte formula somehow plump my lip and I feel as if I am Kylie Jenner. Lol. Since this is a COMPLETE MATTE, make sure you moisturise your lips so you wont have that dry-flaky lips and PRACTISE before you are wearing it or you can pair it with a lipliner like me. The colour is really intense and it will not budge off that easily if we make a mistake, though a concealer with help.

The lasting power of this lip lacquer is AMAZING, it can last up to 6 hours!!! If somehow you want to reapply it after eating out, make sure you don’t put too much new layer ontop of the old layer, as it will somehow “flake off”. So my tips: apply thin layer or totally remove the first layer and only then you apply a new layer.

In conclusion, I love this intense berry-wine lip lacquer and for only £3, I give it 9.5/10!!!

And oh, the Collection Lip Definer in Damson 5 is £2.79 and you can get both them in Superdrug. Let’s rock this Autumn with these two :)

Mac Lady Danger

MAC Lady Danger Lipstick is being described as
a vivid coral-red with a matte finish”.
This lipstick is such a showstopper and hence the name;
Lady Danger.
I got a lot of compliments wearing it today and totally loving it.
I have forgotten how beautiful this lipstick is!!

It will look different on different skintone coz for my mum, it looks more orange than it is for me (it looks deep orange red as you can see from my pictures)

Different lighting also gives different colours, as the one from my Sony NEX-5N camera shows more orange than the one from my iPhone. Most probably because of the lighting. I took the photos after I came back from lunch with my sister and it was quite dark at that moment.

This lipstick is such a chameleon but it still looks beautiful nevertheless. The formula is just right. Not too matte and not too dry either. So, if you would like to have a change of classic red to orange, this is definitely the one!

Review: 5 Camouflage Cream Palette by Make Up For Ever

Bought this palette bout 6 years ago and oh my, it still looks untouched!
I wrote this review in 2009 (in my old blog) and my opinion is still the same. It does not do the job and not worth the price. Hence, the untouched palette as I barely used it. Well, probably less than 10 times or 5 times.

When I first got it, I was really excited as it claims to be perfect for covering dark spots and other skin blemishes and unifying the complexion, even when wearing light makeup!! Mine is Palette no. 5 which contains MAKE UP FOR EVER's 5 main corrective shades.

The orange is to correct the bluish under the eye.
The green is to correct the redness.
The purple is supposed to do the highlight.
The light cream is the concealer while the darker shade is for contouring.

The texture is creamy and the first time I opened it, it was oily all over the palette. I don't know what the purpose for this oil is and yeah, it was quite disgusting! The oil also makes the palette kinda messy and you can see that from my palette.

Oily!!!

As I am too excited to use it, I tried it on my face last night to see what difference it can make on my face. Unfortunately, I cannot see any difference though. The staying power is really bad and I STILL CAN SEE MY BLEMISHES, REDNESS AND ACNE!

Basically these are the PROS and CONS of this product:

PROS:
- You can get 5 colours in one palette.
So it is easy to bring it along whenever you go.

CONS:
- When I first opened the palette, it is oily and quite disgusting for me.
- It is not working for me, NOT AT ALL!!
- The products fade away easily.

Overall, I only can think of one benefit for this product. I am very disappointed, as it is not working for me; it does not correct my redness and hides my blemishes or acnes.

p/s: This review is based on my personal opinion on the products. It may work for others but definitely not for me.
